The My Time To Craft Challenge this week is called 'Food, Glorious Food!' For my card I have used a new stamp from Joanna Sheen's Afternoon Tea Collection Cake Stand set of stamps. This is a good sized stamp and you can have a lot of fun with it. I have made my card with a pink and brown colour theme, colouring the image with pencils and Sansador. The plates have been diamond glazed along with the cherries on top of the cakes. The cake stand is mounted with foam pads and a few of the cakes are decoupaged. I made a bit of a mess of the top of the cake stand when cutting it out so I cut the top ring off and added a ribbon bow! Don't you just love it when you are nearing the finish and you fluff it up! The background is made up of Cuttlebug embossing, patterned paper, Martha Stewart border punch edging and some paper pricked stitch holes.
My car is a bit sick today and the very nice man from the AA is due to arrive any time now so I am going to put a coat on and keep an eye out for him! At least I have Homestart!

Magic Happens!

Today I share a card for the High Hopes Challenge which was to use 'Torn Edges' and the Theme Thursday Challenge to 'Use Something New'. I have followed a technique from the latest Technique Junkies Newsletter called 'Torn Frames', which is a new technique to me and I have used new High Hopes stamps - Magic Happens text and Henry The Great! The images is stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with pencils and chalks. Embellished with gems and green metallic thread.
Well we have had a bit of snow this morning! Everything is looking very pretty and the dogs enjoyed their walk in it! I am hoping it disappears as quickly as it came though because the older I get the more unsteady I am on my feet!!
Ta for the visit!

Hoppety Hop!!
Today's card share is one for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge to use some Embossing on your card and I have followed this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday.
The Penny Black Froggie image is coloured with pencils and chalks. All the card and the patterned paper from DCWV has come out of my scrap box. I have used the Embossing only in the corners of the sketch and embellished with Flora Doodles and gems.
Have a good day and thanks for the visit!

Another Thank You Card!

Today I share another thank you card - good for a few challenges! The Thank God It's Friday Challenge was 'Winter', the Daring Card Maker's Challenge was 'Thank You' and the Stamp Something challenge was 'New'. The new part being a new technique tried - Faux Bleach which was a recent technique on Splitcoast! The image is from a CD full of 1920's ladies and I have her on a background of Cuttlebug embossing and the Faux bleach background, made using a text stamp and a Judikins Cube. Embellished with gems and metallic thread.

Dottie's World - Get Well Soon!

The challenge on Dottie's World this week was to 'Wish someone well'! There are loads of people poorly at the moment so I decided to make a Get Well Soon card using this image of Nurse Dottie from the Dottie at Work Collection of images.
I have stamped a Cornish Heritage Farms Cheesecloth backgrounder on the card base with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder - it looks a little like a bandage! I have used some red metallic thread to stitch a temperature graph on a piece of patterned paper. Dottie has been decoupaged up a couple of layers. Embellished with a circular greeting and red gems. I have also used this week's sketch from the Splitcoast Stampers.
Had some good news this morning about winning the Glimmer Mist prize on the Craft Stamper blog - a great way to start the crafting year! So thank you Katy! A new challenge has been set too - check out the Craft Stamper Blog to see what it is all about!

Vintage & Lace ATC's
Sharing some ATC's with a Vintage & Lace theme for the Wednesday Stamper open theme. Using some images picked up in a swap at some point.
Card are bits from my scrap box and a large background stamp was used to make some swirly paper with a burgundy dye ink.
Using various pieces of white and ecru lace from my huge hoard! Not that I like lace or anything - just have to bring myself to use it!!
Thanks for dropping by today.
